Paradigm's Tim Simpson forms his own MMA management firm; Israel Adesanya, Leon Edwards, Jiri Prochazka among athletes in stable
It looks like there's a big shakeup as far as MMA management is concerned as former Paradigm agent Tim Simpson has formed his own MMA management firm and has brought many top clients along with him.
ESPN MMA reporter Brett Okamoto tweeted that the initial roster for the new MMA management firm includes many former UFC champions and talented young prospects. The biggest name on the list is former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, who is one of the biggest stars in the promotion.
"Big news in MMA management space, longtime Paradigm agent Tim Simpson has founded a new firm, Chosen Advisory Group. His initial roster is Adesanya, Edwards, Prochazka, Holloway, Casey O’Neil , Jack Della Maddalena, Muhammad Mokaev, Jack Hermansson and Don Madge."
In a press release, Chosen Advisory Group outlined their management structure and what services they will be providing their fighters. Simpson stated that he was thrilled to start this new management firm and looks forward to getting to work with his fighters, saying:
"I am thrilled to start this new chapter in my career, and I'm honoured to be working with this small group of incredible athletes I value so highly both professionally and personally."
It will be interesting to see whether any other big name fighters join Chosen in the future if they decide to change their respective representations.
Tim Simpson's Chosen Advisory Group will still have a relationship with Paradigm Sports
Despite venturing off on his own and starting his own MMA management firm, Tim Simpson is still on good terms with Paradigm Sports and will continue to have a relationship with them.
In the aforementioned press release, the former Paradigm Sports Director of MMA wished his former colleagues well and hopes to continue their relationship, saying:
"I wish my friends and former colleagues from Paradigm nothing but continued success and happiness. I will always cherish the experiences and memories from my time, and I'm happy that we will have an ongoing professional partnership."
Despite losing Israel Adesanya and reigning welterweight champion Leon Edwards to the new Chosen Advisory Group, Paradigm Sports still represents former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor, who is scheduled to coach opposite Michael Chandler in Season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter.
