Israel Adesanya quotes late Los Angeles rapper as rematch against Alex Pereira approaches
Israel Adesanya has quoted the late Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle ahead of his highly anticipated rematch against Brazilian fighter Alex Pereira. The two fighters will face off in the upcoming UFC 287 main event title fight.
With the fight event approaching, Adesanya took to social media to post images of himself with the caption:
"Please stick to the sidelines you're used to. As for myself, 'I'm front line everytime it's on n***a!'"
This quote from Nipsey Hussle's song, 'Last Time That I Checc'd, ' indicates that Adesanya is ready to face Pereira head-on.

The New Zealander has already faced Pereira twice in the kickboxing ring, suffering defeats on both occasions, with one of them being a knockout. Their last bout in the UFC was highly anticipated, with Adesanya having a chance to avenge his previous losses to Pereira. However, he was defeated in the fifth round, losing his championship belt.
Despite the setback, Adesanya has an impressive professional fight record of 23 wins and only two losses, with 15 coming through knockouts and six in the first round. As he prepares for the rematch, Adesanya is leaving no stone unturned in his preparation.
Chris Curtis weighs in on upcoming Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereria title match
UFC middleweight fighter Chris Curtis has given his take on the upcoming Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira rematch, scheduled for UFC 287.
Curtis, speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA's Andrew Whitelaw, admitted that he is not a fan of Adesanya but feels the pressure the New Zealander is under heading into the bout:
"My brain says Alex. I'm not even an Izzy fan. I am not an Izzy fan at all, but I kind of feel for the guy to where he's, like, you have your own personal Boogeyman who's followed you across two sports now. I saw the article the other day where Alex Pereira was like, 'I only came to MMA because Izzy said I would be forgotten.' I was like, holy sh*t you accidentally created your own Boogeyman. Like that is so perfectly Shakespearean poetic-like. So now, I'm like he's got to win this because I feel like this is life or death for Izzy."
Curtis referred to comments made by Pereira in a recent article, where the Brazilian claimed that he only switched to MMA because Adesanya said he would be forgotten.
Curtis went on to say that Pereira's comments have inadvertently created a "perfectly Shakespearean poetic-like" scenario where Israel Adesanya is facing a life-or-death situation in the upcoming bout. Despite not being a fan of Adesanya, Curtis is rooting for him to win, given the immense pressure and stakes involved.
