Israel Adesanya says that he found letter from his old job where they gave him a 2% raise and he got it framed: "Look at me now, bit*h"

Israel Adesanya recently disclosed he found a letter he received from his old job regarding a raise and explained what he did with it. The former UFC middleweight champion appeared to hold a grudge as he framed it as a reminder of how far he has come.

'Izzy' is set to return to the Octagon when he challenges bitter rival Dricus du Plessis for the middleweight championship at UFC 305. He has uploaded content to his YouTube channel while making media rounds to promote the bout.

Championship Rounds tweeted a clip from the former middleweight champion's recent appearance on The Rock FM, where Adesanya briefly turned to the letter. The UFC legend mentioned that it was from 2012 and dealt with a remuneration review resulting in a 2% annual raise. He said:

"Guess what I found the other day?...From 2012 from my last job that I ever worked and it was a letter from my pay rise...'I am pleased to advise that your base salary has been increased by 2% to $38, 242'...Well, look at me now, bit*h. Look at me now."

Israel Adesanya claims his title fight against Dricus du Plessis isn't personal

In addition to disclosing that he found a letter from his old job, Israel Adesanya also discussed his rivalry with Dricus du Plessis and claimed that their fight isn't personal.

During the aforementioned appearance, Adesanya mentioned he doesn't know du Plessis personally but stated his animosity towards him was due to comments the middleweight champion made about other African UFC champions. He said:

"It's not about anything personal. I just want to knock his head off and add that to my mantelpiece. That will be the trophy I'll take from this fight...It's not on a personal level...Cause I don't really know the guy from a far, but what he said about myself, Kamaru Usman and Francis Ngannou, that's blasphemy cause like, bro, he would not be a champion without us. We paved the way for him."
