Israel Adesanya discusses the main event of UFC 286
Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman, both former UFC champions with five title defenses, have started the year 2023 in similar positions as they look to reclaim their coveted thrones. Adesanya recently shared his thoughts on the UFC 286 title fight between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards.
The No. 1-ranked middleweight stated on his YouTube channel:
"I'm just glad none of them got seriously hurt. I wasn't watching it to score. I scored the first two and then after the point got taken away, I was just like, 'oh [X4]', but yeah, it was a close fight.
"From the fight, like watching it as a fight, as a whole, close fight. I thought it was going to be a draw, but I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised that Leon won."
