"It was the best feeling" - Feared headhunter John Lineker recalls the favorite knockout win of his career

A recent Reddit takeover by former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker has revealed his favorite knockout victory throughout his entire professional career as a mixed martial artist.

Lineker was asked by a user, NippleOfOdin, about the best moment in his career, and he responded:

"Probably when I fought Bibiano [Fernandes] and got the title. It was the best feeling when I landed that shot."

'Hands of Stone' earned his world title shot against Fernandes when he won three straight fights under the world's largest martial arts organization. He finally got the opportunity in March 2022 at ONE: Lights Out and only needed under two rounds to dethrone 'The Flash' and become the new king of the weight class.

Aside from the championship breakthrough, this victory by the Brazilian knockout artist was sweeter because he got the last laugh against Fernandes from their heated buildup.

John Lineker thankful for ONE Championship for giving him a chance to compete in Muay Thai

Lineker is now ready to make his Muay Thai debut on Sept. 6 at ONE 168: Denver, where he will face American contender Asa Ten Pow in a bantamweight Muay Thai clash in front of the Ball Arena crowd in Colorado.

This opportunity is not given to every athlete, and the American Top Team representative is grateful for this chance given to him by ONE Championship. He shared this during the ONE 168 press conference, where he stated:

"So this was a challenge that I accepted, and my main focus is still in MMA. But I want to say thank you to ONE Championship for giving me this opportunity to fight here in Muay Thai, but my focus is on MMA."

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster. The full event is free for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
