“It was crazy” - Chatri Sityodtong ‘shocked’ by huge reception Superlek and Seksan received at ONE 168: Denver
ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong was floored by the rousing reception that Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Seksan Or Kwanmuang received in The Mile High City.
On Sept. 6, the promotion returned to the United States for an epic night of fights inside Ball Arena. ONE 168: Delivered a memorable card capped off by a world title-winning performance from 'The Kicking Machine' who defeated Jonathan Haggerty to claim the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion.
Moments before Superlek became ONE's newest two-sport world titleholder, Seksan stunned fight fans when he finished British icon Liam Harrison in the second round of their highly anticipated co-main event, living up to his moniker as 'The Man Who Yields To No One.'
Looking back on the evening's festivities during the post-fight media scrum, Sityodtong couldn't help, but be shocked by the incredible applause that both fighters received from fans in The Centennial State.
"I'm just shocked that both these guys, they don't speak in English, yet you heard the ovation before and during and after the fight," he said. "It was crazy, crazy. I'm just grateful to the U.S. fans, and we'd definitely be bringing back all the greatest strikers from around the world to U.S. soil for sure."

Fans will also see the return of two-division king Christian Lee as he puts his ONE lightweight MMA crown up for grabs against Turkish standout Alibeg Rasulov.
