"It depends on the game plan" - Superbon curious to see how Superlek will approach potential fight against 'giant' Nico Carrillo
Superbon Singha Maywnn is curious to see how Superlek will adjust to Nico Carrillo's height and power when they eventually collide for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title.
Longtime fans of Superlek know that he is fully capable of defending himself from an opponent twice his build and stature. The fact that he KO'd Thai-Algerian 'giant' Nabil Anane as easily as he did last year tells us that Superlek is a master at exploiting weaknesses.
Then, add in his first-round KO of UK superstar Jonathan Haggerty in Denver at ONE 168, and there isn't an opponent that Superlek can't tame. But with Scottish finisher Nico Carrillo next in line, there is the slightest doubt whether Superlek can handle that kind of pressure.
According to Superbon, it will be interesting to see how Superlek solves this puzzle. Speaking to SCMP MMA, the interim featherweight kickboxing world champion explained:
"But it's gonna be how Superlek is going to plan to fight him. I think the fight is going to be fun, but it depends on the game plan who will be the better man. So, how to deal with a big guy like that who can do a lot of damage, because Carrillo, he can fight at 70kgs [150lbs] so he can get big. It'll be an interesting fight for me to see."
