"It is a very dirty business"- Chael Sonnen names two UFC fighters who would make for the best President of the United States
Chael Sonnen recently named two UFC fighters who he believes would make the best United States President. He shared his thoughts on why they would be ideal candidates and suitable for the job, noting that it requires certain criteria.
The former UFC middleweight title challenger explained the difficulty of being a politician and what the job entails. He brought up that it is based on popularity and policies usually cast aside and added that he doesn't believe that there are too many fighters that could realistically see in that position.
In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, 'The American Gangster' named two surprising UFC fighters that would do well. He named Khabib Nurmagomedov as somebody who was known to honor his word. Sonnen then mentioned that aside from Nurmagomedov, Renzo Gracie and Daniel Cormier would be the two he believes would be best due to their popularity:
"Just so you understand, like, it is a very dirty business and it is not completely the fighters' fault by the way... If it did come down to [popularity], it would go to Renzo Gracie. Renzo is the most popular fighter amongst fighters. And you know who else would do very well, Daniel Cormier. If we had to make one fighter the President, Daniel Cormier just might be the President of the United States." [1:44]

Chael Sonnen discloses that he voted for former UFC competitor to be U.S. President
In addition to naming two UFC fighters that he believes would be suitable options for US President, Chael Sonnen also disclosed that he voted for a former UFC competitor to be President in the past.
During the aforementioned video, Sonnen mentioned that he voted for his former foe Brian Stann twice as a write-in candidate:
"We had a guy that would've been right there in the running, is out of Georgia, he's a military hero, he's now a multi-billion dollar company, this guy was an ace. His name was Brian Stann. I even made a push for that. Brian Stann has been voted for twice. I voted for him in 2008 and 2012, I wrote his name in both times." [4:43]
