"It would be disrespectful to half-as* everything" - Johan Ghazali says he's motivated by fans who continue to believe in him
What keeps Johan Ghazali going is the unwavering and unconditional support he receives from his fans.
The 17-year-old teenage prodigy has been blessed to receive a great deal of love and admiration from his loyal supporters who wish to see him fulfill his full potential.
That said, Ghazali aims to pay them back by giving it everything he's got in the training room and inside the Circle.
Shortly after dismantling Josue Cruz at ONE 168: Denver last Sept. 6 at Ball Arena, Ghazali spoke to the media during the post-event interviews .
'Jojo' revealed he's always ready to push himself beyond his limits because there are people who depend on him to become great one day. He said:
"It's the people. The people who believe in me, because it would be disrespectful for me to half-as* everything if I didn't put 100% of my effort into it."
Johan Ghazali's hard work was certainly evident, especially in his latest victory in ONE's return to the United States. The Malaysian-American rising star stuck to his guns and brought the fight to 'Tuzo' as soon as the bell rang.
After weathering some hard shots from the Mexican, Ghazali got the job done with another brutal finish to add to his growing highlight reel.

Johan Ghazali hopes to become as great as Superlek one day
While Johan Ghazali wants to carve his own path to greatness, it doesn't mean he does not respect those paving the way for him.
If there's ever a career blueprint he wants to follow, 'Jojo' says he couldn't go wrong with the now two-division and two-sport world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9.
The Rentap MuayThai Gym representative told MMA journalist Nick Atkin:
"[I've learned] a lot from technical fighters. Like, I'd say, Superlek. Superlek has been a big inspiration for me. I've trained with him for a few times. I've seen how good he is, how sharp he is."
