“It was everything I dreamed of” - Adrian Lee says victorious ONE debut was a huge accomplishment
Adrian Lee reflected on his professional MMA debut with ONE Championship before his next contest.
On June 7, a massive prospect in the ONE lightweight MMA division made his debut. Adrian, the 18-year-old younger brother of Angela and Christian Lee, was matched up against Antonio Mammarella with one goal in mind - show everyone why he's considered a future MMA world champion.
Lee dominated the first round before turning things up in the second frame. 'The Phenom' took Mammarella to the ground and secured back control, leading to a rear-naked choke to cap off his impressive performance.
During an interview with Cageside Press, the 18-year-old had this to say about his professional MMA debut at ONE 167:
"It was great. It was everything I dreamed of and more. Nothing compared to the sense of accomplishment from getting that win."
Lee has massive expectations for an MMA fighter with only one professional bout.
The 18-year-old's brother, Christian Lee, is a two-division world champion in ONE Championship, while his sister, Angela Lee, is a former women's atomweight world champion who's now retired.

Adrian Lee looks to continue building momentum in second promotional appearance
Adrian Lee must acquire experience before fighting for an MMA world title in the future.
Therefore, 'The Phenom' is scheduled to make a quick turnaround on Sept. 6 when ONE Championship returns to North America for a highly-anticipated event inside the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
Lee's second promotional appearance will be against newcomer Nico Cornejo. The 35-year-old holds a professional MMA record of 2-0, both wins by KO/TKO.
Cornejo has an advantage against 'The Phenom,' as he trains in Colorado and won't be affected by the altitude.
Lee vs Cornejo is one of several intriguing matchups taking place at ONE 168. Tickets for the spectacle featuring two world title fights (Jonathan Haggerty vs. Superlek and Kade Ruotolo vs. Mikey Musumeci) can be found on Ticketmaster.
