"It doesn't matter" - Jack of all trades Denis Puric 'unfazed' by kickboxing war vs Rodtang
ONE Championship's next numbered card, ONE 167, has an early favorite for fight of the night in the co-main event as it features striking veteran Denis Puric.
Happening on June 7 inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, Puric is preparing to go into all-out war against ONE world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a flyweight kickboxing duel.
In a recent interview with ONE Championship, 'The Bosnian Menace' spoke about the seemingly impending barnburner between him and Rodtang:
"I've been competing in kickboxing for over 20 years. I've done it all. I've done Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA. So I'm really not unfazed by the ruleset. It doesn't matter."
For context, Denis Puric had been angling for a bout with Rodtang, especially after his electric callout of 'The Iron Man' following his unanimous decision win over Jacob Smith in his most recent outing inside the Circle.
While the callout was Puric's way of inserting himself into the ONE world title picture, his upcoming bout with Rodtang will not be for his flyweight Muay Thai world title, as it will be under kickboxing rules.
However, Puric is confident that a win over Rodtang at ONE 167 will get him that chance in the future.
Denis Puric promises Rodtang will get true taste of power
Traveling all over the world to ply his craft, the Team CSK fighter believes that Rodtang has never known what a powerful shot is.
During an interview with Bolasport.com, Denis Puric confidently declared:
"These guys, or most of them here, I don't think any of them have my kind of power. I think I have, in this division, the most power. So I think that will come into play in this fight."
ONE 167 will air live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
