“It's my first fight here” - Adrian Lee hyped to be competing for ONE Championship in America
Adrian Lee is elated to be given the chance of competing in his backyard, the United States, since he had never experienced being part of a massive spectacle such as ONE 168: Denver on September 6.
The teen phenom admitted that this is his first time to compete in a big promotion professionally in America, as he only has experience in another overseas card, Asia.
With a goal to deliver another impressive performance at the expense of Nico Cornejo inside the Ball Arena, Lee told Cageside Press about his excitement to wow the home audience.
He said:
"I'm so excited to fight here, you know. It's my first fight here. I've never fought anywhere except Asia, except for the local scene – the nationals and stuff. But to fight on this big of a level and stage in the U.S., I'm so grateful."
Adrian, the youngest brother of Angela, Christian and Victoria Lee, had wreaked havoc in Hawaii's amateur scene, where he collected titles in kickboxing and pankration.
He also claimed the 2023 Hawaii High School State Title and was a four-time National Youth MMA Champion.
The only question remains: Will Adrian Lee make another mark over Nico Cornejo at ONE 168: Denver?
