“It’s good to come back to see everyone” - Jonathan Haggerty on return to London to prepare for Superlek clash

Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom has come home to get ready for his next fight.

A fixture in Koh Samui in Thailand for his usual training camp, Haggerty returned to London for the initial stages of his preparations to face Thai superstar 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 in September.

Speaking on a guest appearance on the Sky Sports MMA Club podcast, Haggerty said he felt good to be back home.

'The General' stated:

"So, I normally do fight camps in the UK, but this is the only time I’ve done a fight camp for that long in Thailand, so I’m always around my family, normally. But this time, it has been different. I’ve been there for eight months, just straight training and fighting, and it’s good to come back to see everyone. It’s good to come back, it’s not good to come back to the cold weather, but it’s good to come back to see everyone like I said. I’m just thankful to be here."

Haggerty, a rare two-sport ONE world champion, is getting ready to defend one of his golden belts later this year when he returns to action in the United States.
