“It’s all about Naomi” - Jarred Brooks details how fatherhood changed how he looked at his career

It's often said that parenthood changes how people view life, and the same can be said for Jarred Brooks. The former ONE strawweight MMA world champion became a father in November 2023 after his partner Francesca Dimambro gave birth to their daughter Naomi.

Since then, Brooks' priority has been dedicating his life to Naomi and looking at his daughter as his number one inspiration.

In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Brooks said his life has practically revolved around Naomi, and he wants to make sure that his daughter gets to enjoy the best possible life he and Francesca can provide.

Jarred Brooks said:

"Yes, 100 percent. It's all about Naomi. It's not about Jarred Brooks. It's all about my daughter at this point. I'm like a shell of myself to make sure she has enough life to keep on dreaming and growing."

Brooks will surely have Naomi on his mind when he returns to the ONE Championship ring in his next match in August.

'The Monkey God' will face number three-ranked contender Gustavo Balart for the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 24 on August 2 at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.

ONE Fight Night 24, just like all of ONE Championship's Amazon cards, is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Jarred Brooks says he has all the advantages in the striking department against Gustavo Balart

Jarred Brooks and Gustavo Balart are two of the finest grapplers in the strawweight MMA division and things could likely be settled on the feet once they square off at Lumpinee Stadium.

While it can be predicted that either fighter would bring the fight to the ground, Brooks said his kicking game could be the difference maker against Balart in Bangkok.

Brooks told ONE Championship in an interview:

"He's very beatable. You could catch him with a kick to the body or a kick to the head. I think the kicks are going to be a big factor in this fight."
