“It’s my second home” - Kiamran Nabati credits Phuket Fight Club for incredible fight preparation
Russian striker Kiamran Nabati considers Phuket Fight Club as his second home and is grateful for the assistance he has gotten there for his matches throughout the years. It is where he is coming from when he returns to action this week in Thailand.
The 29-year-old powerhouse plunges back into action at ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut on Sept. 27 at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium. He will be taking on former bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama in a three-round joust.
For his upcoming fight, Nabati had his training camp at the Phuket Fight Club and believes, like his previous fights, it has served his team well. He talked about what the fight gym has meant to him all these years in an interview with the South China Morning Post, saying:
"Phuket Fight Club is my second home. For five years, I have come to train in this gym and they have a lot of guys like my brother Panpayak. They helped me for this fight. We spar with these guys.
"In Phuket Fight Club, the atmosphere is very good. They're focused on only your fight. They have many fighters, many coaches, like Leo [Elias], the head coach of Phuket Fight Club. When I train with this coach, I learn something new every time. Some new learning, new skills."

At ONE Friday Fights 81, Nabati is seeking to make it four wins in as many matches in ONE Championship. His latest victory came last June when he knocked out Thai Suablack Tor Pran49 in the opening round.
Meanwhile, his opponent, Nong-O, is out to make it back-to-back victories after hitting a two-fight slide.

Kiamran Nabati happy to be part of ONE Championship
Kiamran Nabati long wanted to be part of ONE Championship. And now that he is with the 'Home of Martial Arts,' he is very happy and basking in every opportunity presented to him by the promotion.
The Russian striker made his promotional debut in September last year, racking up three straight wins since. Before joining ONE, he made a name for himself in the Russian Muay Thai circuit, winning several titles along the way.
In an interview with ONE Championship ahead of his return to action at ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut on Sept. 27, Nabati shared his thoughts on the journey he had to get to ONE and how it has been like being with the organization:
"I've been trying to get into ONE for a long time. I've come a long and difficult way to be here, and now I'm fighting the top opponents."
Nabati now hopes to continue to take his ONE journey to another plane when he takes on Thai superstar and former bantamweight Muay Thai king Nong-O Hama at ONE Friday Fights 81.
