“It’s special” - Shadow revels on his career-defining victory against legendary Sitthichai at ONE Friday Fights 92
Shadow Singha Mawynn was thrilled to have risen up to the challenge and scored his biggest victory to date in his career by defeating Thai legend Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in their showdown last week.
He shared his excitement and happiness following his convincing decision victory over 'Killer Kid' in their headlining contest at ONE Friday Fights 92 on Dec. 20 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. It was a fulfillment of his promise to come with a great showing to further shore up his standing as an emerging force in the featherweight Muay Thai division.
Shadow, 24, spoke about the win over Sitthichai during the post-event interview session for ONE Friday Fights 92, saying:
"I'm very happy that I got the victory. And it's a victory at the end of the year as well. So it's special."
Shadow did not waste time making his full intention known right from the get-go, pummeling Sitthichai with powerful leg kicks. While the latter continued with his aggression, the Singha Mawynn fighter was still unrelenting in bringing the heat, even scoring a solid right for a knockdown in the closing seconds of the three-round joust to further solidify his numbers in the judges' scorecards.
The victory was the fourth straight for Shadow after losing in his promotional debut in February this year. Sitthichai, meanwhile, slumped back to defeat following his victory back in June.

Shadow hopes to land world title shot down the line
Following his convincing decision victory at ONE Friday Fights 92 on Dec. 20, Shadow Singha Mawynn is hoping to earn consideration for a world title shot down the line.
He made this clear even before he took on and defeated Thai veteran Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong last time around, telling ONE Championship in an interview his eagerness to push for his world title goals as he progresses with his ONE journey.
He said:
"If I can get into ONE Championship, my next goal would be to challenge the world champion, whoever the world champion is at that time."
The win at ONE Friday Fights 92 capped what was a scintillating first year for him in ONE Championship, where he won four of five matches while serving notice to the rest of the field that he is to contend with moving forward.
