"It's my time" - Anissa Meksen won't let golden opportunity against Jackie Buntan go to waste

Decorated kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion Anissa Meksen will have the opportunity to add 26 pounds of gold to her expansive trophy case at ONE 169: Malykhin vs Reug Reug.

'C18' will vie for the interim women's strawweight kickboxing world title on Nov. 8 at Bangkok's iconic Lumpinee Stadium against tough adversary Jackie Buntan.

Speaking to ONE Championship ahead of her quest for arguably her most prestigious title yet, Meksen said she's going all in to seize the moment and cement her case as one of the best female strikers in the world.

“For sure, I will win. I’ve trained hard now for one month and a half. I’m in the best shape, and I’m ready to fight. I have pushed a lot during every training session. It’s my time.”

Anissa Meksen fell short in her first attempt to claim ONE Championship hardware after getting outclassed by Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom last year.

Now back to her natural weight class at 125 pounds, the French-Algerian striker wants to capitalize on her second chance and gain sweet redemption at ONE 169.

This stacked card will air live in US Primetime free of charge for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Anissa Meksen ready to fight fire with fire with Jackie Buntan

Anissa Meksen is well aware of the dynamite tucked away in Jackie Buntan's fists.

While staying on the outside and using her breakneck speed seems to be the logical approach, it appears that Meksen is eager to trade heavy artillery with the young Filipino-American star.

The Phuket Fight Club affiliate told ONE:

“It’s my natural weight, so I haven’t had to care about weight or my diet or anything like that. I’ve just stayed focused on my training. I’ve just put on a little bit of muscle for more power, but that’s it."

One thing's for sure, fireworks are going to set off at Lumpinee Stadium once Meksen and Buntan exchange some serious heat at ONE 169.
