"It scares my wife"- Michael Chandler reveals what drives his family "nuts" in candid confession
Former UFC lightweight title challenger, 'Iron' Michael Chandler, is set to face Charles Oliveira once again in the co-main event of UFC 309 this weekend. Ahead of the highly anticipated bout, the American powerhouse sat down with Nina-Marie Daniele to answer some questions.
As is typical with 'Nina Drama', Chandler faced a mix of unconventional questions about the fight and his personal quirks. In one of the more intriguing exchanges, Daniele asked the UFC lightweight:
"What is a habit of yours that drives your family nuts that you just can't change?"
Chuckling, Chandler answered:
"When I brush my teeth. I make a really loud noise [makes heaving and spitting noise]. Scares my wife every single time [laughs]. She's like, 'Oh, freaking Danny or the friends are here or we just heard you do that'. It's the first thing in the morningm you got to clear everything out. You gotta get it out there. And also too you gotta wake yourself out by a loud [makes noise again] something. It just gets you going."

Michael Chandler reveals that his wife loves hearing him sneeze
Though Michael Chandler's wife, Brie Chandler, despises the sound of his toothbrushing, she finds his sneezing endearing. 'Iron' explained that his naturally intense personality makes him do everything loudly, including brushing his teeth.
Chandler said (15:18):
"And also too, like, I'm just a very intense person like intense as a human being, but also intense biologically. When I sneeze, like, the third floor will hear... Because it's coming from the soles of my feet all the way though my soul and then out of my body. It's loud [laughs]. My wife loves it. "
Chandler elaborated, stating that his overflowing energy needs an outlet, which he expresses through loud and powerful actions. This intensity mirrors his approach inside the cage. Unlike fighters who take the most efficient route to victory, 'Iron' bursts out of the gates with a ferocity that can intimidate even the most seasoned opponents.
