"It will be hard for someone to stop him" - Nong-O believes Superlek is levels above the competition right now
Nong-O will forever be remembered as one of the greatest champions that ONE Championship has ever seen. His reign as the bantamweight Muay Thai world champion won't be forgotten in a hurry, but now, there is a new king of the division.
Having lost the title to Jonathan Haggerty at ONE Fight Night 9 last year when his long reign suddenly came to an end, the Thai veteran has been looking to rebuild. In the meantime, Haggerty defended the belt against Felipe Lobo which set him up for a huge main event clash at ONE 168.
It only took less than a minute for Superlek to become a two-weight and two-sport world champion this past weekend at the Ball Arena. The flyweight kickboxing world titleholder landed a devastating elbow that ended the final fight of the night in a swift fashion.
In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, the former champ said that he doesn't see anyone beating the new champion anytime soon:
"I think Superlek at this moment, he's great. I think he has the best body right now. He has the best confidence. He has a great winning streak. It will be hard for someone to stop him."

Nong-O looks to put himself back in that mix
After suffering two difficult losses against Jonathan Haggerty and Nico Carrillo, Nong-O is still climbing back to the top.
A bounce-back win over Kulabdam got him back into the win column where he can look to build from this position.
At ONE Friday Fights 81 on September 27, he takes on Kiamram Nabati in another tough test for the former champion. If he's able to defeat Nabati inside Lumpinee Stadium, he surely won't be that far off the opportunity to try and reclaim his belt.
The full replay of ONE 168 is available on demand for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
ONE Friday Fights 81 will air live in Asian primetime via watch.onefc.com and ONE's digital platforms in selected countries.
