Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek Kiatmoo9 are expected to deliver an absolute barnburner filled with fake teeps, stinging low kicks, tricky follow-ups, and of course - their weapon of choice - slicing elbows.
The two Muay Thai superstars predominantly use the elbows to visually damage an opponent at close range. When timed accurately, they debilitate movement and disrupt an opponent's offense as well as their balance.
This week, ONE Championship paid tribute to Haggerty's notorious tomahawk elbows and Superlek's underrated elbow strikes with a fantastic compilation on Instagram:
"It will be raining elbows on September 6 when pound-for-pound greats Jonathan Haggerty and Superlel collide for the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE 168: Denver."
When he gets into the groove of things, 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty is indeed a very dangerous and unpredictable striker. The downward elbows take opponents by surprise, allowing the bantamweight king to exercise his attacks seamlessly.
Superlek is also a master at setting up his elbows. After all, he's the only fighter in ONE history to have knocked down 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon against the ropes with a vicious elbow to the face.
