“It works out for me” - Asa Ten Pow believes he has edge over John Lineker given Muay Thai rule set

34-year-old multi-discipline fighter 'The American Ninja' Asa Ten Pow of the United States says he was shocked to be offered a Muay Thai fight against former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker.

Ten Pow signed the dotted line on the bout sheet to face the former world champion Brazilian, but he thought it was for MMA. When he discovered the fight would be under the Muay Thai rule set, which is his primary discipline, Ten Pow became excited.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Asa Ten Pow shared his thoughts on the upcoming Muay Thai clash with 'Hands of Stone'.

'The American Ninja' stated:

"Initially, I thought it was actually an MMA fight. I had to read it and re-read it again. And I realized that they were asking for a Muay Thai fight. With it being in Denver, I was ready to be there. It works out for me, keeps me in my wheelhouse, and even helps with the profile, so I’m excited."

34-year-old veteran fighter 'The American Ninja' Asa Ten Pow of the United States is set to lock horns with former bantamweight MMA king 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker in a three-round bantamweight Muay Thai contest.

The two lock horns at ONE 168: Denver, which broadcasts live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado on Friday, Sept. 6.
