Jackie Buntan names her three must-watch fighters in ONE Championship
Jackie Buntan has revealed her top three must-watch fighters in ONE Championship right now.
From so much talent to choose from, the most entertaining fighters to watch should be those that possess an unmatched ability to turn the tide of a fight with a memorable victory.
Muay Thai and kickboxing savant, Jackie Buntan, certainly has her favorites. Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA this week, she listed the following names:
"I'd say in terms of most entertaining, obviously you know Superlek, Haggerty's been on a great roll, Superbon I'm always excited to watch over time, yeah, those three for now."
The Filipina-American superstar is ultra focused these days to be in the same category as the names she mentioned above.
On Nov. 8, Buntan will join Anissa Meksen in Thailand to fight for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title at ONE 169: Malykhin vs Reug Reug.
Both women were scheduled to fight for the belt earlier this year, but Buntan was forced to withdraw due to a debilitating foot injury she accrued during training.
Medically cleared and healthy, Buntan can't express how excited she is for the opportunity at hand.
ONE 169 airs live from the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand in North America via Prime Video.
"I don't take anyone lightly" - Jackie Buntan says she puts the same amount of effort training for every elite opponent in ONE Championship
Jackie Buntan doesn't pick and choose which opponent to train the most for. If you were to ask Buntan if training for Anissa Meksen is any different to how she trained for her other fights, she would quickly say 'no.'
The 27-year-old powerhouse is certainly a very likeable athlete. She's worked hard this last decade to be considered as one of the world's top female Muay Thai artists.
To even just share the stage with a fellow fighter, proves how elite she's become compared to her competition.
However, that doesn't stop her from taking each fight seriously; whether it's against multiple-time kickboxing world champion Anissa Meksen or Swedish phenom Smilla Sundell, Buntan respects every opponent as if they were at her level.
"The stage I'm at, it's all high-level opponents, and everyone's worthy of being there, so I don't take anyone lightly."
