Jackie Buntan understands the magnitude of Anissa Meksen showdown: “I have a big task ahead of me”

Filipina-American striking star and former ONE world title challenger Jackie Buntan knows that her next fight isn't going to be a walk in the park, no matter how confident she is. That's because Buntan is getting ready to take on Algerian-French kickboxing legend 'C18' Anissa Meksen for a piece of ONE Championship gold.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Buntan says she is mentally prepared for the biggest fight of her life.

The 27-year-old Boxing Works representative stated:

"Well that’s always how I’ve viewed life, you always have to be present. You can’t worry about things that are not in your control. Everyone here is saying that, but it’s so true. It relates perfectly into fighting, you could only focus and deal with what’s in front of you. I have a big task ahead of me and my only job and worry is completing that task and being successful in that."

Needless to say, Buntan expects to put on the performance of a lifetime in her now second attempt at winning the ONE world title. She will need to be at her absolute best if she hopes to defeat Meksen and make history.
