Jacob Smith open to rematch Denis Puric if he unseats Rodtang from throne at ONE 169: "Denis can have the fair shot at the title"
British striker Jacob Smith wants to redeem himself against Denis Puric should he claim the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Englishman challenges divisional king Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE 169, which emanates live from the Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, Nov. 8.
Speaking to Violent Money TV, the 32-year-old offered a perfect plan to set up a rematch with the striking veteran, saying:
"Fight Rodtang, beat Rodtang, and Denis can have the fair shot at the title."
The Bad Company and Thaifist product traded leather with 'The Bosnian Menace' at ONE Fight Night 21 this past April.
Though many felt that he impressed across three rounds, it was Puric who walked away with the unanimous decision.
Despite being initially upset with the outcome, the Liverpool fan has since come to terms with the outcome.
After all, he cannot afford to have any negative sentiments tailing in his head with another tough assignment against Rodtang on the horizon.
But if he gets his hand raised inside the Mecca of Muay Thai on Nov. 8, you can be sure that he'll shift his attention back to the Bosnian-Canadian veteran in no time.

Jacob Smith to rely on more than just his aggression in Rodtang rematch
Having suffered a loss to Rodtang when he opened his ONE Championship account, Jacob Smith ought to bring a new package into this rematch at ONE 169.
When asked about his plan to draw level with 'The Iron Man,' the 32-year-old told Cageside Press previously:
"You're just going to see a bit more finesse in my work and [me being] a little bit more of a smarter fighter."
