Jake Paul believes Alex Pereira boxing fight is good business: "Chance to do 2-3 million"
Jake Paul recently opened up about a potential boxing bout against Alex Pereira and noted that he believes it could be very lucrative and successful on pay-per-view. The YouTuber-turned-boxer is currently scheduled to fight Mike Tyson in November and appears to be lining up an opponent immediately following the bout.
'The Problem Child' called out the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion for a boxing bout after earning a sixth-round TKO over Mike Perry last month. The PFL star even got 'Poatan's approval as the two were on a video call moments following his call out in the ring.
During his recent appearance on FULL SEND PODCAST, the 27-year-old discussed the financial revenue should a boxing bout between himself and the former two-division Glory Kickboxing champion materialize. Paul mentioned that combat sports is a business and believes that the return on investment would be too enticing for the UFC to pass up. He said:
"You're friends with Dana [White], tell Dana, bro...If we're gonna sell two million pay-per-views, this is a business at the end of the day...The pay-per-view numbers in this industry are going down...If [Alex] Pereira is selling like 500k pay-per-view buys, and then this has a chance to do 2-3 million [buys], that's basically six fights."

Jake Paul explained the reason why he is in such a strong pursuit of a boxing bout against Alex Pereira.
Despite being signed to the PFL and the Brazilian currently the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion, 'The Problem Child' admitted that he would like to change the perception of his fights. During the aforementioned appearance, Paul mentioned that he is targeting Pereira because it would put an end to the narrative that he only fights older and smaller opponents. He said:
"I'm down [to fight Pereira]. At the end of the day, like, I'm gonna call this guy out because when I beat him they can't say weight, they can't say height, they can't say old."
