Jake Paul describes the experience of facing off with UFC legend Anderson Silva ahead of upcoming showdown - "I wanted to kiss him"
Jake Paul has admitted to being starstruck when he stood in front of MMA legend Anderson Silva before they step into the ring this weekend.
Both MMA and boxing fans were shocked when it was announced that Paul was going to face another former UFC champion. The ex-Disney channel star, who has a record of 5-0, is heading into the squared circle off of wins over former UFC fighter Ben Askren and back-to-back victories over former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
Although Anderson Silva is approaching the age of 50, many consider the Brazilian to undoubtedly be the toughest fight of 'The Problem Child's boxing career so far. Silva is a former UFC middleweight champion who has looked in fantastic shape since making the switch to boxing in 2021. Silva has defeated both Tito Ortiz and Julio César Chávez Jr with hopes of extending his winning run to three in a row.
Jake Paul was recently interviewed by The Schmo and was asked about his feelings on the upcoming fight. The 25-year-old joked that he felt like he wanted to kiss Anderson Silva during their face-off:
"I saw eyes, I saw pupils and veins. You know the red stuff in the eyes. Then I saw a guy who wants to f**k up 'The Problem Child.' He wants to be 'The Solution Child.' He looked me right in my eyes. Man, I wanted to kiss him for a second. We were really staring at eachother, we're about to f***ing... I'll keep it PG."

Israel Adesanya sends warning to Jake Paul about Anderson Silva
UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has warned Jake Paul not to underestimate Anderson Silva when they step into the squared circle this weekend.
'The Last Stylebender' described 'The Spider' as a mastermind, explaining that this is why many consider him to be one of the greatest MMA athletes of all time. Speaking from his own experience of facing Anderson Silva in 2019, Adesanya warned Paul that the Brazilian is a "savage" when it comes to fighting:
"Bro [Paul] you gotta be careful... I think Logan [Paul] DM'ed me a while ago and he was gonna fight Silva and he kinda asked me my opinion. And I was like, 'If you take this fight, take it seriously 'cause he is no joke.' Silva is a mastermind man! When you meet him... he is a friendly guy. He's cool, he's a humble dude... But when it comes to war, he is a savage. He is from the streets bro!"
Adesanya's unanimous decision victory over Silva was seen as a piviol moment in the UFC's middleweight division. Many regard the moment as the passing of the torch, as 'Izzy' won the interim middleweight title in his next bout against Kelvin Gastelum.
