"Jake Paul just had a war with a grandpa" - UFC fighters and MMA Twitter reacts to Jake Paul winning decision over Anderson Silva
Jake Paul earned arguably the biggest win of his boxing career on October 29 as he defeated MMA legend Anderson Silva at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
'The Problem Child' went toe-to-toe with Silva for eight three-minute rounds. The fight was a highly competitive and close affair but the 25-year-old managed to score a knockdown in the eighth round of the fight.
With that, Paul ended up on the winning side via unanimous decision. The three judges scored the contest 78-73, 77-74 and 78-73 in favor of the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
MMA personalities and fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the fight.
Dillon Danis discredited Paul's performance by taking a dig at Silva's age.
"Jake Paul just had a war with a grandpa… kids trash,"
Derek Brunson implied that UFC president Dana White might be furious at the outcome of this fight.
Jimi Manuwa showered praise on both the fighters and said the fight motivated him to return to action.
BJ Penn said that the knockdown by Paul in the eighth round may have secured him the fight.
Boxing royalty Teddy Atlas also let his thoughts known on the Silva vs Paul fight. Atlas put out multiple tweets praising both athletes and said 'The Problem Child' was a legitimate fighter.
Atlas also said that although the 25-year-old won against a much older fighter in Silva, that does not take away the credit from Paul's performance.

Jake Paul calls out Nate Diaz and Canelo Alvarez
Following his impressive victory, Jake Paul did a post-fight interview with Ariel Helwani during which he challenged Nate Diaz and Canelo Alvarez to a fight.
"I want Nate Diaz who's a b**ch. He tried too come into my locker room. He tried to cause some s**t and then he always leaves the f**king arena. So, Nate Diaz, stop being a b**ch and fight me. And Canelo, you too."
Diaz was in attendance for the Paul vs. Silva event. The Stockton native also got involved in a backstage brawl that resulted in him getting escorted out of the arena.
In the past, Diaz has expressed an interest in fighting 'The Problem Child' in a boxing match. Diaz vs. Paul could certainly be a potential matchup down the road.
