Jake Paul mocks Conor McGregor's "downfall" following Irishman's viral X post: "Biggest star in UFC is controlled by Dana White like an employee"
Jake Paul recently took aim at both Conor McGregor and Dana White, all while mocking a since-deleted tweet from the Irishman. In the tweet, 'The Notorious' appeared to be pleading with the UFC CEO for a spot on a Dec. card, even urging fans to echo his sentiments after White claimed that McGregor would not be fighting in 2024.
Check out Conor McGregor's since-deleted tweet here:
Paul took to X/Twitter to poke fun at the entire situation. In a since-deleted tweet, he wrote:
"Coke head Conor is so down he's asking fans to help him get his fight booked. Not sure what's sadder, his downfall or that the biggest star in UFC history is controlled by Dana White like an employee & can't fight when he wants."
Whether McGregor truly hopes to fight this year is a question with no answer, as there has been little certainty regarding the Irishman's octagon return. He has flirted with various return dates, before ultimately settling with UFC 303 as the event to host his promised comeback.
Unfortunately, he fractured his toe and was subsequently forced to withdraw from his bout with Michael Chandler, who has grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of clarity over his supposed matchup with McGregor. Now even Chandler, who has waited for McGregor for a considerable amount of time, has started to entertain other options.
Given McGregor's recent business dealings with the BKFC and his frequent partying, the possibility that he may never fight again grows stronger every time White pushes his return date.
Jake Paul has been angling for a fight with Conor McGregor for years
Jake Paul has consistently called out Conor McGregor for what seems like years now, and it's clear that he is still angling for a bout with the Irishman. Given McGregor's absence from the UFC and his age, a boxing match with Paul may very well come to reality.
Jake Paul wrote, in yet another deleted tweet:
"I would destroy juiced up 200 lb Conor in boxing or MMA. We do one of those first and then we can do the bare knuckle thing."
Despite building his boxing record off the back of MMA fighters who were well past their prime, he has failed to goad McGregor into a fight. That, however, hasn't stopped Paul from trash-talking McGregor at every turn and continuing to pursue the bout.
