Jake Paul pens an emotional message for ‘young fans’ post humbling defeat
Jake Paul opened up about his loss to Tommy Fury this past weekend and shared a message with his young fans.
Paul took to Twitter to share an emotional message for his young fans after sustaining his first career loss. He proved that he could compete with a pro boxer with a similar record after competing against former MMA champions in his most recent bouts prior to fighting Fury.
He wrote:
"To all my young fans, I love you. Don’t be saddened by my loss. Life is full of ups and downs. You just have to learn from your failures and come back better. Hard work, hard work, hard work. I will be back."
'The Problem Child' and 'TNT' shared a moment after they shook hands with their respective corners. During his post-fight press conference, the YouTuber-turned-boxer revealed what they said to each other in the ring. He mentioned that Fury was complimentary of his skills, saying:
"We just said respect...That was a good war. A good fight. He was impressed by my skill. He said, 'Look, I've been doing this since 6-years-old and you've been doing it for three years and you put up a war.' So, you know, it was cool. At the end of the day, there's just respect there and that's why this sports is so cool."
It will be interesting to see what Paul does next as he did have a rematch clause in his contract. He could decide to fight 'TNT' again or he could even pursue a lucrative fight against fellow YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI.
WWE superstar Seth Rollins references Jake Paul loss during his promo on Monday Night Raw
Jake Paul's first career loss generated plenty of discussion on social media and WWE superstar Seth Rollins found the perfect way to utilize that in his promo on Monday Night Raw.
While using WWE superstar The Miz's cellphone, Rollins called Logan Paul via FaceTime, and cut a promo referencing his brother's loss to Tommy Fury. Rollins and 'The Maverick' appear to be setting the stage for a match at WrestleMania and the former WWE champion used the segment to take a jibe at the social media influencer's brother.
He said:
"I just wanted to call you cause I wanted to see how your baby bro is doing, yeah. How's Jakey pooh doing? He had a tough day yesterday."
'The Maverick' has been impressive since making his in-ring debut last year and will look to continue his success in his second WrestleMania match.
