Jake Paul presents KSI with revised offer in response to the Englishman's 180 pounds and rehydration clause
After a recent back-and-forth on Twitter, Jake Paul appears to have accepted KSI's conditions for a boxing match between the two and has also added a stipulation of his own.
It all started when the British YouTuber took to social media to claim that after winning his next fight against Joe Fournier, he would become the pound-for-pound best YouTuber-turned-boxer.
Paul responded by questioning the credibility of KSI's claim and also criticizing Fournier's fighting record.
"Hahaha. I’m your idol. So when you beat a guy whose last pro fight was over two years ago against a reggaeton singer that had never boxed in his life, you are the pound for pound best?! Or is because his fight before that was 6 years ago against a 1-11 “boxer”? Sham."
KSI then accused 'The Problem Child' of dodging a fight against him.
This resulted in Paul accepting KSI's condition of a 180 pound weight-limit and a rehydration clause. But only if the British YouTuber would agree to the stipulation that the winner would be rewarded $30 million and the loser would go home empty-handed.
"$30M to the winner, 0 to the loser if you want me to agree to your request of 180 pounds and rehydration clause. Agree to that and I’m in. You just supposedly bet £10M so this should be easy to contract right?"
KSI recently announced that he would take on Joe Fournier inside the squared circle on May 13 at the OVO Arena in London, England. If 'The Nightmare' emerges victorious in that matchup, a fight against Jake Paul could very well be next on the cards.
Leon Edwards weighs in on Jake Paul vs. KSI
UFC welterweight king Leon Edwards believes Jake Paul would get his hand raised in a possible boxing match against KSI.
In the lead-up to his trilogy fight at UFC 286 against Kamaru Usman, 'Rocky' did a rapid-fire session with ESPN. When asked to choose between Paul and KSI, Edwards said:
"Jake Paul, I think he's a better boxer."
Jake Paul is currently 7-1 as a professional boxer and has defeated prominent MMA fighters like Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva.
KSI, on the other hand, emerged victorious in his only professional boxing bout against Jake's brother Logan Paul.
So, on paper, 'The Problem Child' does appear to be the better boxer among the two.
