Jake Paul's manager and ex-UFC executive Nakisa Bidarian rips into Eddie Hearn for Mike Tyson comments
Jake Paul's manager Nakisa Bidarian is not too pleased with Eddie Hearn's recent comments about 'The Problem Child's' upcoming clash against Mike Tyson. In an interview with The Daily Mail, Hearn slammed the fight and said he would never arrange such a matchup.
The boxing promoter added that Tyson should not be competing at the age of 58.
"What on earth are we doing?... I'm lucky enough to have a business where we don't need to do that. And I will never do that... Anyone who thinks that [Tyson] should be in the ring right now either doesn't have his best interests at heart or is an idiot."
Paul's manager and former UFC executive Bidarian took notice of Hearn's comments and issued a response on social media. Bidarian shared that Hearn was already involved in the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event as his fighter Katie Taylor would be competing in the co-main event against Amanda Serrano.
Paul's manager then went on to criticize the boxing promoter for how he handled the Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou fight.
"Eddie, you are involved, man. Involved in a big way. Katie Taylor, your most celebrated fighter, is the co-main event and it's her biggest payday as you know. So, thank you to Netflix, thank you to MVP [Most Valuable Promotions] and most of all, thank you to Jake Paul for getting it down for you, man.
"It's funny. I remember when Francis Ngannou was fighting Tyson Fury, you were out there saying, 'This is a circus. This is a clown show. This shouldn't be happening.' But as soon as the opportunity came for you to be involved with Anthony Joshua versus Francis Ngannou, you were running so fast to sign that contract."
