Jake Paul's promotion releases official statement on "rigging" allegations surrounding Mike Tyson fight

Jake Paul's promotion recently released an official statement and clapped back at the allegations surrounding their client's latest bout against Mike Tyson. In the days that followed the bout, there were many allegations on social media that questioned the legitimacy of it as 'The Problem Child' earned a unanimous decision win.

The event was Netflix's first foray into live sports ahead of their NFL Christmas Day and WWE deals and was a massive success. However, many fans took to social media and uploaded clips of moments of the bout where they believed the former heavyweight boxing champion was holding back.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer's promotion, Most Valuable Promotions took to their X account and responded to the serious allegation regarding the fight being rigged. They mentioned that Paul vs. Tyson had no hidden stipulations in the contract and both fighters competed to the best of their ability:

"Rigging a professional boxing match is a federal crime in the United States of America. Paul vs. Tyson was a professional match sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR). Both fighters in good faith performed to the best of their abilities with the goal of winning the fight...Suggesting anything other than full effort from these fighters is not only naive but an insult to the work they put into their craft and to the sport itself."

Most Valuable Promotions co-founder defends Jake Paul's win over Mike Tyson

Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian came to Jake Paul's defense and noted that the YouTuber-turned-boxer has been unfairly criticized throughout his career.

In the aforementioned statement, Bidarian mentioned that Paul continued to prove his doubters wrong and believes they cast doubt on his wins because they can't come to terms with how fast he has developed as a fighter:

"The claim that [Paul's] bout must have been rigged is just the latest backhanded compliment to come his way...From day one in this sport, people have doubted his abilities - unable to reconcile how someone with his background has accomplished so much in such a short time...As long as Jake continues to exceed expectations, there will always be those who try to discredit his achievements."
