Jake Paul's ultimate value in PFL is being a 'middleman', explains PFL analyst and former UFC fighter Dan Hardy

Former UFC fighter Dan Hardy has weighed in on Jake Paul's new multi-year deal with the PFL.

'The Outlaw' recently sat down for an interview with Mike Bohn for MMA Junkie. During the conversation, Hardy discussed Jake Paul's deal with the PFL. 'The Outlaw' said the YouTuber-turned-boxer's popularity could prove fruitful for the organization.

Hardy added that Paul could bring a lot of value as a 'broker' for the fight promotion due to his marketing skills:

"What Jake Paul does bring is a lot of eyes, a lot of attention and, you know, a very clever marketing mind. I can see him being an important broker for some very big pay-per-view fights for the PFL. And I think that ultimately is where his value comes in. People know that he can act like a middleman. He's gonna have the fighters' best interests at heart because that's what he's been about... I think he sees these big opportunities, he's clever at marketing and I think the PFL could use him very well to broker some big fights."

Giving a prediction for the fight, Paul said that he would knock 'TNT' out inside three rounds:

“I think it’s less than three rounds. Three rounds or less. He just can’t keep up with me, he’s never been in there with someone good, his opponents have a combined record of 20 wins and 200 losses or something like that."

It was recently announced that former UFC fighter Mike Perry will serve as the backup fighter for the event. Considering that Paul vs. Fury has been canceled twice before, keeping Perry close by seems to be a good move.
