Jake Paul wants to go back to college to teach "Ohio boys how to play defense"
YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has taken an interest in Ohio state's NCAA Football team, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Ohio team recently lost to the Michigan Wolverines by a score of 45-23 in the latter's favor. Later, 'The Problem Child' put out a tweet asking if he was still eligible to play college football. Paul added that he might have to teach some defensive techniques to the Ohio team. He wrote on Twitter:
"Anyone know if I’m still eligible to be in college? Need to go show these Ohio boys how to play defense like an Ohioan"
Jake Paul hails from Cleveland, Ohio, and in the past has shown an inclination to play in the NFL. In 2021, during an appearance on his brother Logan's Impaulsive podcast, Paul said that he wanted to go to the NFL after his stint in combat sports. When asked about the team he would prefer to play for, 'The Problem Child' took the Cleveland Browns' name and said:
"I wanna go to NFL after this. Legitimately just to play like safety and just deck people... The Browns. Bring it back, like who would have ever thought I would play for the Cleveland Browns. I don’t know that would be crazy... I’ve been playing football my whole life and it’s much different than boxing. It’s more simple in a way I know, it’s very tough and the defense is intricate and you have to put in so much time to understand all the plays and stuff but at the end of the day it’s coverage knowing your plays and then just being fast and willing to sacrifice your body to make a tackle you could be a team player."
