Jake Shields slams U.S. for sending Israel "9 billion dollars" as aid amid conflict with Lebanon: "America called for a ceasefire"

MMA provocateur Jake Shields has once again taken to X to chime in on the ongoing military conflicts Israel is embroiled in. Tensions have continued to rise, with Israel exchanging air strikes with Hezbollah, a militant group based in Lebanon.

Shields aimed criticism toward Israel with his tweet, lambasting the nation for rejecting the United States' proposed ceasefire between it and Lebanon. He also criticized the U.S. for continuing to send economic aid to Israel.

"America called for a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. Israel responded by telling us to get f***ed. Our response was to send them another 9 billion dollars."

This isn't the first time that Shields has criticized Israel. He is one of the several MMA fighters, past and present, to throw their support behind Palestine, which has been severely impacted by the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

Shields has promoted various antisemitic conspiracy theories throughout his still active stint as a ufc-veteran-expresses-discontent-actions-israeli-president-concerning-conflict-palestine" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-is-sponsored="false">political commentator, which has seen him at the center of various controversies and has massively overshadowed his past as an MMA fighter. At one point, he was on a 15-fight win streak, which included some notable wins.

Among the respected foes Shields had conquered were future UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit, future UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler, and former two-division PRIDE champion Dan Henderson, who held welterweight and middleweight gold in the promotion.

Unfortunately for Shields, he failed to dethrone the then UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, losing to the all-time great via unanimous decision.

Jake Shields previously criticized Tesla in defense of Hamas

Months ago, Jake Shields tweeted about Tesla's termination of engineer Joseph Faisal Nusairat over antisemitic conduct. However, the former UFC welterweight took to X to defend Nusairat's controversial claims.

"Tesla fired one of their engineers for correctly saying Hamas did not behead 40 babies and Israel controls our government. Elon said he will set you a legal fee to help anyone who is fired over tweets. Will be [sic] Sue Tesla?"

It isn't the first time Shields has called out Elon Musk, and his crusade against Israel will likely continue, especially with tensions rising in the Middle East.
