Jamahal Hill is ready to fight Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 308 if the opportunity arises: "Bro you’re light work for me"

Jamahal Hill believes that he would have no issues in a hypothetical fight with Magomed Ankalaev. After the two went back and forth on social media, Hill took to his YouTube channel to deliver the next message.

In a video released on Aug. 19, Hill called Ankalaev "light work," saying that he would have no problem in a matchup with him once he is back "in form." Despite coming off a loss to Alex Pereira, 'Sweet Dreams' still believes he is one of the best strikers in the world.

Hill said:

"[Aleksandar Rakic] is very well capable of putting yo a** out. But best believe if my phone rings and they need somebody to come step in and handle you, bro, you light work for me. And I can't wait to show that. I'm not gonna do too much talking because I'm healing up. But make no mistake, you already know what it is when I'm in form: Champion."

As Hill mentioned, Ankalaev is currently matched up with Aleksandar Rakic in a fight scheduled for UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi. The fight is presumably a title eliminator, though the same could be said about each of Ankalaev's last two wins.

Jamahal Hill's response was a reaction to Magomed Ankalaev's earlier tweet

Jamahal Hill's video response was a direct reaction to a tweet from Magomed Ankalaev on Aug. 16. The Russian accused Hill of "crying" and told him to "be ready" in case Rakic pulls out of their upcoming bout.

Alex Pereira, the UFC light heavyweight champion, was announced as the headliner of UFC 307 against Khalil Rountree Jr. shortly after Ankalaev's fight with Rakic was confirmed.

Ankalaev has been active on social media in the past week, calling out everyone at the top of the 205-pound division from Pereira and Hill to Jiri Prochazka.
