Jamahal Hill reveals conversation with ex-champ Jiri Prochazka at UFC PI

Jamahal Hill recently opened up about his meeting with Prochazka at the UFC Performance Institute

At UFC 283, Jamahal Hill and Glover Teixeira went head-to-head for the vacant lightweight championship title. It was left open after Jiri Prochazka was forced to withdraw from his scheduled fight against Teixeira at UFC 282 due to a shoulder injury.

Hill's superior technique was evident throughout the match, as he managed to keep Teixeira on the back foot with his takedown defense. In the end, Hill emerged victorious with a unanimous decision.

Following his championship victory, Hill and former champion Prochazka have been exchanging words on social media. The Czech fighter declared his intention to be Hill's first title challenger.

Hill and Prochazka recently met for the first time when they unexpectedly encountered each other at the UFC Performance Institute. Appearing in a recent interview with The Schmo, the current UFC champion discussed his conversation with 'Denisa':

"We just shook hands. He's like, 'Hi nice to meet you,' and I was like, 'What's up bro?' and we shook hands... he was doing physical therapy and stuff. He is working to get back and I can't wait for him to be back."

Further into the interview, the reigning 205-pound champion has stated his desire to defend his title against former champion Jiri Prochazka. He has also indicated his willingness to fight any other fighter if a compelling matchup is found:

"I'm letting him [Jiri Prochazka] do his thing. Letting him focus on recovery and yeah, I'm hoping that he makes some significant strides and ends up being the first title defence but like I said, man, somebody else steps up and makes a good case and he is the next man up."

Jamahal Hill is confident about taking on Magomed Ankalaev in a potential title fight

Jamahal Hill is eager for the chance to take on Magomed Ankalaev in the octagon. Hill is feeling more confident than ever and anticipates a showdown with Ankalaev in the near future.

In a conversation with James Lynch, Hill acknowledged that Ankalaev has earned the right to compete for the light heavyweight championship title. 'Sweet Dreams' confidently predicted that he would knock out the Russian if they ever fought in the octagon:

"He's right there at the top so he's put himself in position to be considered for those things. I'm not just going to sit and be like, 'He didn't deserve it,' he's up at the top. If I'm ready to go and I'm ready to fight, I fight who's available. I wouldn't mind knocking him the f**k out just for the simple fact that people keep bringing his name up talking to me."
