Jamahal Hill's obsession with public image could "crush" him against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311, says women's flyweight in brutally honest prediction

UFC women's flyweight contender Veronica Hardy recently offered her take on Jamahal Hill's chances against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311, believing the American's obsession with his public image could cost him the fight.

'Sweet Dreams' is set to return to the octagon for the first time in almost a year when he faces 'Denisa' next weekend. The two former light heavyweight champions are heading into the bout off the back of losses to Alex Pereira, with each man hoping that a victory puts them right back into title contention.

Following his loss to 'Poatan' at UFC 300, Hill's public image has somewhat suffered.

Since the defeat, the 33-year-old has regularly called out the result on social media, believing the knockout loss to be unfair due to Herb Dean nearly separating before Pereira landed his left hook. Hill has since found himself trolled by a number of fans, however, who believe he is a sore loser.

Veronica Hardy offered her take on Hill during the latest episode of the The Outlawed Picks Podcast. According to the 29-year-old, Hill's compulsion for social media and a mix of injuries could be his downfall when he faces Prochazka.

She explained:

"It's just kind of been injury after injury [for Hill]. He's kind of put on weight, lost weight and stuff. And Jiri, he's going to be more consistent in being disciplined and looking for a way to fix things rather than being distracted by everything else [social media] around him...It means you can take things that are bad and make them better without them crushing you so much or spending so much time online trying to respond to other people [suggesting that's what Hill does]."

Jamahal Hill issues words of support to Chris Curtis after UFC Vegas 101 loss

Chris Curtis recently suffered a controversial knockout loss at the hands Roman Kopylov at UFC Vegas 101 last weekend.

The two middleweights engaged in an entertaining back-and-forth contest that saw referee Mark Smith call the fight with just one second left on the clock after Kopylov landed a head kick.

The controversy was due to the finish as, despite the head kick knocking Curtis to the canvas, he immediately got back up to one knee. Smith believed the American was done, however, handing Kopylov the finish.

Following the fight, Curtis shared a post on social media expressing his heartbreak and disappointment about the result. Jamahal Hill was spotted in the comments sharing some words of support for his friend:

"Brotha you inspire tf outta me every time you perform is must see tv!!! I'm gutted for you for what happened but I'm proud and honored to have witness it!!! What ever is next I can't wait and will be front and center!!"
