Jamahal Hill shares an update on when he could face Jiri Prochazka
Jamahal Hill defeated Glover Teixeira to become the light heavyweight champion at UFC 283 in January. Teixeira was initially set to face Jiri Prochazka, but Prochazka was forced to withdraw from the contest after suffering a devastating shoulder injury in training.
UFC doctors stated that it was the worst shoulder injury they had ever seen, and the former light heavyweight champion had an estimated recovery time of 9-12 months.
But 'Sweet Dreams' recently shed light on when a possible bout between him and Prochazka could take place.
Jamahal Hill was recently interviewed by InsideFighting, and said the following about Jiri Prochazka's return:
"No it can't be happened [the fight with Prochazka]. I'm hearing that he should be back sooner than normal, but I'm just waiting to see..."

A potential bout between Jamahal Hill and Alex Pereira was also entertained by fans. Pereira was part of the corner team for his friend and coach Glover Teixeira when he lost to 'Sweet Dreams', and fans quickly suggested that 'Poatan' should move up in weight to face Hill and avenge his coach's defeat.
Hill welcomed all challengers to take him on, and stated that he would 'dominate' Pereira in a fight during his interview with InsideFighting. But depending on Jiri Prochazka's return date, he is likely to face the former light heavyweight champion.
Jamahal Hill shares his prediction on Alex Pereira vs. Israel Adesanya at UFC 287
Jamahal Hill recently shared his prediction for the UFC 287 main event between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya this weekend. The bout comes less than six months after their previous contest at UFC 281, where 'Poatan' dethroned the former champion.
Pereira has now defeated 'The Last Stylebender' twice in kickboxing and once in MMA, winning two of those bouts via KO/TKO. Some believe that the mental hurdles that Adesanya faces will be too great for him to overcome, while others believe that he will have his hand raised at the fourth time of asking.
Jamahal Hill stated that Israel Adesanya will be "more prepared" for his bout at UFC 287, and said this:
"I think he comes in more prepared this time. It's crazy 'cause Alex has now beaten him three times but I think I'll take [Adesanya]. He was winning the last fight convincingly... I think [Adesanya] understands a little more that he's got to be a bit more on point... I don't think [Pereira] is better than Izzy four times out of four."
