Jamahal Hill trades barbs with fan after being called out for 'not doing sh*t' against Alex Pereira at the UFC PI

Jamahal Hill found himself embroiled in a fiery exchange with a fan following a confrontation with UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira at the UFC Performance Institute. The tension, which had simmered during weeks of online back-and-forth, boiled over when the two crossed paths. A viral video showed the heated exchange where Pereira threw gloves at Hill to seemingly settle the dispute before their coaches intervened.

The altercation added fuel to their contentious history, stemming from Pereira’s knockout victory over Hill at UFC 300. Hill, set to return to action against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311, continues to exchange barbs with fans questioning his actions during the confrontation.

Several fans have claimed that Hill avoided Pereira's challenge, with some accusing him of backing down. The American countered these claims on social media by asserting that he confronted Pereira directly and declined to participate in any unpaid sparring antics.

Hill recently posted a video showing his support for Merab Dvalishili as he gears up to take on Umar Nurmagomedov on the same card, which will go down at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, on Jan. 18, 2025. Reacting to a fan's comment on the video that "he didn't do sh*t" against Pereira, Hill responded:

"Wrong I said we don't need gloves and walked right in his face and then what did he do?"

Alex Pereira offers his take on confrontation with Jamahal Hill at UFC PI

Alex Pereira downplayed his recent confrontation with Jamahal Hill at the UFC Performance Institute. The incident occurred when Hill approached Pereira during a training session, leading to a heated exchange.

'Poatan' appeared unfazed and suggested that Hill should focus on his upcoming fight against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311. Pereira, who knocked out Hill at UFC 300, is targeting a return in March or April, with Magomed Ankalaev expected to be the next in line to challenge the Brazilian.

Speaking about the confrontation in an interview with MMA Junkie, Pereira said:

"Well, things happen. This is the first time it's happened to me, but I'm focused on myself, focused on my thing. Right now, he should be worried about his next fight. He has a tough fight with Jiri [Prochazka]."
