Japanese megastar Takeru Segawa “can’t wait to fight” Thai icon Rodtang Jitmuangnon in all-legends super fight in 2025

Takeru Segawa is itching to trade limb and leather with fellow striking superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon in ONE Championship.

The Japanese kickboxing legend has been linked to a super fight with the Thai megastar, and the pair could finally share the stage in 2025.

Before they officially trade bombs, though, Takeru and Rodtang added fuel to their simmering feud this past weekend at ONE 169.

Takeru was in attendance at Lumpinee Stadium when he decided to step inside the ring following Rodtang's dominant unanimous decision win over Jacob Smith.

Videos of the face-off immediately went the rounds on social media, and Takeru quickly shared his sentiment when he met Rodtang inside the ring for the second time this year.

"I can't wait to fight🔥 @rodtang_jimungnon"

Takeru, one of the biggest signings ONE Championship made in its history, had an impromptu staredown with Rodtang when he captured his first win in the promotion earlier this year.

Following his knockout victory over Thant Zin at ONE Friday Fights 81, the three-division K-1 Kickboxing world champion welcomed Rodtang in the middle of the ONE Championship ring.

That sudden and unofficial standoff quickly built up the hype for Rodtang and Takeru's impending super fight that ONE Championship plans to stage in 2025.

The promotion has yet to officially announce a match between Rodtang and Takeru, but things are already pointing in that direction.

British legend Liam Harrison hyped for looming showdown between Takeru Segawa and Rodtang Jitmuangnon

It's not just the fans who can't wait for Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Takeru Segawa to clash between the ropes.

British kickboxing and Muay Thai legend Liam Harrison is one fighter who would gladly pay attention once Rodtang and Takeru officially square off in ONE Championship.

Reacting to ONE Championship's Instagram post, Harrison said Rodtang and Takeru would deliver nothing short of a barnburner inside the ring or the cage.

"Rodtang's best weapon recently has been his elbows but they're fighting kickboxing so I think the advantage is with Takeru under the rule set. Either way though should be a banger."
