Ennis' low blow seems to have taken the wind out of the sails of Avanesyan. Ennis is scoring away at will with rapid punches, cutting angles, and evading incoming onslaught. Ennis mixes up well between the body shots and head strikes. Another solid round for Ennis.
Round 3
Ennis' power and speed stifling Avanesyan. Short uppercuts and strikes to the breadbasket in the pocket lands for Ennis. Avanesyan struggling to mount combination strikes. Ennis kept the fight at close range and landed diverse combinations. Another solid round for him.
Round 4
Ennis' jab has been his strongest weapon so far. The punches pile up as he digs to the body and scores against Avanesyan. Ennis has taken charge, interspersed with infrequent attacks from Avanesyan. Round 5
A good uppercut lands for Avanesyan, his best punch so far. And down Avanesyan goes with a minute left in the round. Ennis staggers Avanesyan with a powerful left scoring the first knockdown of the fight.
And that's a wrap as Avanesyan weathered the storm but didn't get past the stool to make it to the next round. A beautiful left hook counter from Ennis to drop his opponent in the fifth registers a TKO victory for him in the fifth round.
