Jarred Brooks admits he’s a fan of both Mikey Musumeci and Kade Ruotolo ahead of their grappling superfight

Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion and current first-ranked contender 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States can't wait to witness Kade Ruotolo take on Mikey Musumeci in Denver this September.

The 21-year-old Ruotolo is set to defend his ONE lightweight submission grappling world title against 'Darth Rigatoni' at ONE 168: Denver, which takes place at the Ball Arena on Friday, Sept. 6.

Brooks says both guys are good friends of his, and he just can't wait to see them test themselves against each other on the mats.

'The Monkey God' told the South China Morning Post in a recent interview:

"So Mikey and I, when we had our fight, amazing guy, literally, we were hugging, talking, bullshitting the whole time and before and after the match also. Kade, I love Kade. Me and Kade and Tye, we hung out almost the whole time when I was in Thailand, when I went against Mikey, and I was watching a lot of their instructionals on how to get out stuff like what Mikey is doing and beating people with."

Kade Ruotolo and Mikey Musumeci are two of the best pound-for-pound athletes in submission grappling, and this September at ONE 168: Denver, they will go head-to-head for the gold.

Meanwhile, Brooks is also getting ready to capture the gold yet again, when he heads back to the ONE ring next week.
