Jarred Brooks believes eventual trilogy with Joshua Pacio will be ‘fireworks’: “We’re just going to explode in there”

Jarred Brooks believes his inevitable trilogy fight with Joshua Pacio will deliver fireworks.

Having competed against one another on two separate occasions, it's just a matter of time before 'The Passion' and 'The Monkey God' settle things in a third meeting.

But first, Brooks will have to get through streaking Cuban standout Gustavo Balart when the two 125-pound warriors meet at ONE Fight Night 24 to crown an interim ONE strawweight MMA world champion.

If Brooks comes out on top against 'El Gladiador' inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium, he'll set the stage for a rubber match that he promises will set the MMA world on fire.

"So when we fight, it’s just going to be fireworks," Brooks said in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA. "I know there’s a lot of animosity that’s going to be built up among us, and we’re just going to explode in there, the ONE Circle. It’s going to be a terminator vs a predator. And you are a predator, my brother."

Jarred Brooks chasing redemption after DQ loss in Joshua Pacio rematch

Jarred Brooks delivered an absolutely dominant performance in his first meeting with Pacio at ONE 164 in Manilla. For five rounds, 'The Monkey God' used his wrestling skills to stifle the offense of Pacio, walking away with a decisive decision victory and 26 pounds of ONE gold.

More than a year later, the two would run it back at ONE 166 in Qatar. Unfortunately, their bout would come to a crashing halt less than 60 seconds into the scrap when Brooks inadvertently spiked Pacio on the top of his head during an early takedown attempt.

Deemed an illegal maneuver by referee Herb Dean, the bout was immediately stopped and Brooks was disqualified. As a result, Joshua Pacio was once again declared the undisputed ONE strawweight MMA world champion.

Will Brooks come out on top against Gustavo Balart and book a third meeting with 'The Passion,' or will 'El Gladiador' delay the inevitable and claim his first ONE world title?
