Jarred Brooks dumbfounded by John Lineker's ferocious KO in Denver: "Absolutely demolished him like a little kid"

ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks was impressed by John Lineker's knockout win at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.

Lineker returned to action in a bantamweight Muay Thai matchup alongside American striker Asa Ten Pow inside Ball Arena, and it took him only two rounds of the contest to get the job done thanks to his destructive 'Hands of Stone.'

During an appearance on the BODYSLAM. NET Pro Wrestling channel recently, Brooks was asked about what makes ONE Championship different than the UFC.

As he highlighted the variety of disciplines in the promotion, 'The Monkey God' talked about a chance to move to different sports and highlighted John Lineker's impressive Muay Thai debut in the Mile High City as a perfect example of what he can achieve in the striking realm of the organization.

Brooks said:

"What ONE Championship brings is unique. A lot of different martial arts. You saw John Lineker? He went against that kickboxer and absolutely demolished him like a little kid."

The Mash Fight Team representative remains open to a switch to the submission grappling or striking realm if given the chance. Apart from his usual expedition in the all-encompassing sport on the global stage, the Indiana native has featured in a submission grappling contest alongside Mikey Musumeci.

John Lineker keeping his options open, says main focus remains MMA

While his victorious Muay Thai debut has instilled some eagerness to test himself in the discipline, John Lineker admits that his sole focus is on reclaiming the ONE bantamweight MMA world title from Fabricio Andrade.

However, once he's achieved that goal, the knockout specialist revealed that he'd be open to giving the striking art or submission grappling a try. He told ONE Championship:

"My focus is MMA. I don't plan on switching to Muay Thai [permanently], but I want to do other Muay Thai fights, just to stay active. I can even fight in submission grappling or do some super-fight with special rules!"
