Jarred Brooks reveals ONE Championship fighter whose ‘energy is a little bit hard to match’

First-ranked strawweight MMA contender and former divisional king, 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States, is one of the most charismatic athletes in ONE Championship.

The 31-year-old from Warsaw, Indiana, is always spitting bars on the mic, writing lyrics about his opponents and rapping about them before fights, and knowing how to cut an entertaining promo.

There are not many fighters quite like him, but Brooks admits that there's one fighter whom he simply cannot match in energy.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Brooks said that reigning ONE heavyweight, light heavyweight, and middleweight MMA world champion 'Sladkiy' Anatoly Malykhin is one guy he cannot keep up with.

'The Monkey God' stated:

"Anatoly Malykhin’s energy is a little bit hard to match, but besides that, I don't think that in mixed martial arts, nobody is matching my aspirations."

Nevertheless, Brooks will come into his next fight with the energy and charisma he is known for, as 'The Monkey God' goes for gold yet again in the world's largest martial arts organization.

The American is set to see action this Friday night and will do so for the interim strawweight MMA world title.
