Jarred Brooks says he'll let actions do the talking at ONE Fight Night 24: "I'm already better than a lot of these guys"
Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks believes the mixed martial arts world already knows what he's truly capable of.
As such, the outspoken American no longer sees the need to self-promote and build himself up each time he gets a microphone in his face.
'The Monkey God' has truly been a changed man since losing his 26 pounds of gold in the most humbling way possible.
Needless to say, Brooks will enter his interim strawweight MMA world title bout with Gustavo Balart with a different demeanor this time around.
The former 125-pound kingpin said in an interview with HeatWave on YouTube:
"That's what I'm gonna do, man. About fight week, what else do I have to do? I'm already better than a lot of these guys and that's the way I truly feel as a martial artist. So why do I have to tell these guys, and why do I have to tell fans that?"
ONE Fight Night 24 this coming Friday, August 2, will indeed be a make-or-break moment for Jarred Brooks.
A victory over the streaking Balart will not only garner him the interim crown but perhaps also erase all doubts about him being the best in the division.

Gustavo Balart says Jarred Brooks is "the real champion"
While Jarred Brooks no longer feels the need to prove himself, it seems his upcoming foe thinks the same way.
The third-ranked challenger paid close attention to 'The Monkey God's disqualification loss to Joshua Pacio last March and believes he would have won that fight if not for the illegal slam.
'El Gladiador' said in a ONE Championship interview:
"I think he was doing fine but he made a mistake and the referee gave him a warning. That does not change anything, he is still a great fighter to me, the real champion."
ONE Fight Night 24 will emanate from Lumpinee Stadium, live in US Primetime. This stacked card is free for those with a Prime Video subscription in the United States and Canada.
