Jarred Brooks says Roots Combat Club is full of killers: “I don't see too many other people messing with us”

Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion and current first-ranked contender 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States is proud of his home gym, Roots Combat Club, and believes they have the best group of guys in martial arts -- be it in MMA, kickboxing, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, and many other disciplines.

In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, Brooks had nothing but high praise for the men behind his high-level team.

'The Monkey God' said:

"We've only been open for a year and a half, at Roots Combat Club. But man, our kickboxing program, our wrestling program, and our jiu-jitsu program is off the chain, and we are going to have some of the best...I think that people should check it out as well. Super, super important for Muay Thai here in the Midwest."

Brooks added:

"And I think that it's important because ONE Championship is looking for up-and-comers in Muay Thai. So kickboxing and Muay Thai, man, I tell you what Roots Combat Club in the state of Michigan, I don't see too many other people messing with us, and our jiu-jitsu program is going to be just as good."
