Jarred Brooks on how he wants to be remembered: “I just want a ten-year-old kid who goes on YouTube and studies one of my fights”

Jarred Brooks wants to reaffirm his legacy for future generations. Although the former ONE strawweight MMA world champion has had his share of accomplishments and stardom, he still wants to be remembered as someone who can make an impact on those who see and idolize him.

Next, Brooks will get another chance to prove that when he clashes with Cuba's Gustavo Balart on August 2 to claim their division's interim title at ONE Fight Night 24.

But before that, he sat down with FightWave and shared how he wants to be remembered in this ever-grueling fight game.

'The Monkey God' said:

"I just want a ten-year-old kid who goes on YouTube and studies one of my fights. That’s it."

And if he claims the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title, Brooks would not only secure his opportunity to unify the belts with old rival and current divisional king Joshua Pacio, but he would also get to reaffirm his legacy.

As the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title fight between Jarred Brooks and Gustavo Balart draws near, the former thinks he can reclaim the undisputed gold by taking out the Cuban wrestler.

The two fighters will showcase their skills inside Lumpinee Stadium on August 2 at ONE Fight Night 24.

Knowing that there is a lot at stake in this clash against Balart, 'The Monkey God' said he wants to prove he's the best fighter in his division and this organization and that the interim title would further solidify that.
