A look into Derrick Lewis' infamous celebration from UFC 229

UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis has become one of MMA’s most beloved figures, known not only for his knockout power but also for his blunt and often hilarious post-fight interviews.

One of his most memorable moments came after his 2018 fight against Alexander Volkov at UFC 229, where he staged an unforgettable comeback.

In the third round, with only 10 seconds left on the clock, Lewis delivered a crushing knockout blow to Volkov, turning the tide of a fight he had been losing. As the crowd erupted, Lewis pulled down his shorts, standing in his boxer briefs with his shorts draped over his shoulder as Bruce Buffer announced his victory.

In the octagon interview, UFC commentator Joe Rogan couldn’t help but ask the reason behind 'The Black Beast' taking off his shorts.

With his characteristic honesty, Lewis replied:

"My ba**s was hot"
